tall grass field in Woodlands/Conroe area - 10-12-2010, 08:14 AM

Does anyone know of a field with tall grass in the Woodlands/Conroe area? I have a Senior who is very specific about the photos she would like and a grass field is at the top of her list. I did tell her we might have to drive so if we need to go past Conroe that would be fine.

thanks for the help!

I was just at Rob Flemmings Park a couple weeks ago and in the middle of the park area was a large field of tall wheat grass I guess you would call it. This is over by Gosling and Creekside Village.

The farmers cut and baled all the tall grass in the last couple weeks. This was a bumber crop year. Cutting hay in October. Who knew?
When you find one, please share.

a couple of weeks ago I found a field of wildflowers on the road going into Old Town Spring. Heading East on 2920 you will see an Amegy Bank on your left. Turn right and the field is on that corner. I'm sorry but I don't remember the name of the street. The field was beautiful a couple of weeks ago but I don't know how it would look now.

FWIW, i've ridden almost 400 miles on my bicycle on roads outside of houston (west of katy up to rockdale) in december. i have seen a lot of bailed hay. nothing that would go over mid calf. i even kept an eye out today (chappell hill, brenham, burton area) specifically for "tall grass." and I didn't see anything...

best of luck.
