Urban,concrete, grungy location? - 10-26-2010, 12:02 AM

Im looking for a grungy location, preferably downtown, to do a fashion shoot. I want some where with kind of a post apocolypse feel I guess u could say. Something with lots of greys, & metal like say a rundown concrete building or remains from what used to be a building with maybe a chain link fence &/or barbwire(accessible of course)? Or somthing junkyard-ish. It could even be in an old parking lot

Hope this is a good description, THANKS!

THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF VAGRANTS LIVING THERE

i can be contacted during the daytime to give you a slightly seasoned tour or you can take someone else....but dont go exploring in this building alone

I was driving up 59N today and noticed a bunch of buildings all along the feeder starting right after 610. If you exit Crosstimbers, you might want to make a U-turn and go back to the next U-turn so you can cruise the feeder as early on as possible. Most of what I saw was within a block of the feeder, if that makes you feel any safer! :-) There was one old motel - really cool looking. If I get time, I'll stop by and snap a few of the stuff I saw and you can decide if it's worth the drive out here.

Be careful, not a safe neighborhood. I used to do work there (domestic investigations and process serving) and it's one of the areas I have on my "do not ever work there again" map.

RandomPhotographer.. I saw it says you live in Pasadena... Have you tried seeing if you can get into the Reliance Ford building any on 146.. Saw it was shut down a few months ago. Showing the photo's you posted here to my fiance trying to come up with some indoor locations for this coming Saturday for our engagement photos since it seens the rain is going to ruin our outdoor location. Do you have any other shots from those places or others you might suggest?

I think you are talking about here, which is the colonial apartments. It is right at 59/Crosstimbers.

You can drive in through a small driveway, there used to be a chain across it, but it's gone now. Do be careful out there.....
