Since Texas law still makes it illegal (prudes), there's no place completely safe.

But.....
There are stretches of beach on Bolivar peninsula with no houses (especially after Ike) and are fairly isolated. If you have a good vehicle that can handle the sand, try that.

Also if your vehicle is 4x4 with good clearance - keep going east along the beach past High Island - there used to be a road there, but it washed out many years ago - very isolated back there.

Where's Imagebuffet? This is his area of expertise.
A boat would make finding secluded beaches easier.

Not much sand at Hippie Hallow but if your looking for rocks then they should leave you alone there pretty much.

Yeah, Bolivar is a pretty reasonable bet, or between Surfside and Galveston. Or South of Corpus Christi towards Padre Island.

Wrangler 4 inch lift on 35's. ;)
It can get me to the beach areas near San Luis Pass. I fish down their. If its in the week you should be safe. Weekends have lots of people, but I'm sure you could find a spot. High Island would be my second opinion on location. Just use the car to block and have a robe handy.
