Hello folks, I wonder if someone knows any highrise building in downtown that allows us to take picture on their roof at night? Because I really want to shoot a panorama picture of Houston at night... anyone with me?

the wedge building is located at louisiana and bell on the north corner (north east if the streets ran directly north and south). another thought is the petroleum club on top of the exxon building may have some nice views.
i work in the old enron buildings, i would try and get some people up there, but I don't think it is worth the hassle i would receive from work from security.

My favorite on any visit to Houston is the Magnolia Hotel on Texas Ave. Pool on the roof and 3 directions to shoot. Entry is through their work-out room. Might need a room key to get out to the roof part or back in though. Been a bit since I've been there. Cool place to shoot, though.

@Conor: I will try to call them to see. Appreciate it.
@Fred: Yeah I will keep you in touch, lol just bought a new panorama cradle so really want to try out now.
@Alfred: I know this place, so basically we have to rent a room though. Maybe with bunch of guys then we can share lol...

The Hilton Americas next to the George R. Brown convention center has a nice view from the pool on the top (25th?) floor. Their parking garage next door is open on the top, overlooks 59 and the Toyota Center. The hotel might need a room rental. (I used to work their and still know some people so I will see if I can work something out.) The garage you would just have tompay for parking, or hit up their resturant and get it validated. The Chase tower has an observation deck on the 70th floor I belive, but dont know if after hours is doable. There are some cool places to park and take pictures down Memorial towards downtown and on Allen Parkway. I got some really cool shots there one night.
I have gone on 2 night shoots around town and really enjoy it. I would love to meet up with some folks and drive around taking photo's.

I know you can go in the Hilton at night. As far as those clubs mentioned I believe they are private clubs that would require a private party to rent them. there is also a great garage one block north of the old enron buildings, 15 stories with a great view down smith and towards uptown.
Magnolia may be more sympathetic to the cause. Also there is a nice parking garage across the street with good views.
But honestly there are not many options for highrise night photography in Houston unless you have corporate friends willing the let you in a building.

i believe the garage being referred to is on smith and dallas. there is a pappas bbq and massas in the bottom and is across the street from the hyatt. also it is across the street from the allen center buildings.
I work in the "old enron buildings" and am looking at the garage right now. seems the hyatt would block any shots to the east, but would give some nice shots to the south and towards "the old enron buildings."
