LOCALE: Japanese Garden In Hermann Park - 01-10-2005, 02:00 PM

I stumbled across this on the internet and it seems VERY interesting. I had no idea this place even existed. It's a Japanese Garden located in Hermann Park and judging by the photos I bet it’s a great place to photograph.

I think Lisa and I may make a little trip there this weekend to check it out!

Yes this is a nice place. I took a date there for a picnic once about 10 years ago, have not really been there since. Back then it was nice too.

I also saw this posted on Houston Metroblogs and was going to repost it here.

Also a nice setting for engagement pics.

Hey all, new to this forum but love this location to shoot! I used several photos (black & white) from this location in a recent portfolio.

Thanks to the admin. for a new forum specific to the Houston area.

I've shot here a couple times. An important thing to know is that if you want to leave the path to take photos you have to get a permit from the park to do so. I was attacked by a mad park working on a golf cart for leaving the path with no permit....

Just stumbled across this thread and thought I'd update it. The Japanese Gardens has a "No Professional Photography Allowed" signed posted outside now.
