http://www.lsfm.org/ Interesting Tidbits: Large areas in which to photograph some great vintage aircraft. There are a couple of jets, including a B-58 Hustler, but most are propeller craft from WWII era or earlier, including a B-17. Some ground vehicles are also included and a terrific section pertaining to Texas Aviation History and the people that led the way in the Lone Star State.
Photog Friendly: Definitely photog friendly as tripods and such are allowed as well as access to the flight line when some of the planes are parked outside.
Admission Prices: Adults (18+): $8.00, Seniors (65+): $5.00, Youth/Students (5-17): $5.00, Children under 5 years of age: FREE
Hours: Open every day, except Christmas Day, 9am to 5pm, 409-740-7722
Best time to visit is in the fall through spring as the buildings are two large aircraft hangars and air conditioning is pretty non-existent. In cooler weather though you can spend many hours shooting the planes in there.
NOTE: Ike severely damaged the place and displays - may not be open to the public again for awhile - check the website - and DONATE to teh rebuild effort.
