Name: Japanese Garden Location: Herman Park (right next to the reflecting pool) Google Map Website: ? Interesting Tidbits: Particularly awesome in the spring and summer, but enjoyable year round. In Early Janauary I even witnessed a white egret at the waterfall pool. Photog Friendly: Not any more. Bridges, quiet areas, flowing water, flowers, waterfalls, rocks, everything you could want for peace and tranquility, and great photo opportunities as well. But if you are a pro, prepare to be harassed. Do a search of TPF for "japanese garden" for the many experiences. |

My husband and I did an engagement session at Hermann PArk last week and took a couple shots in there just before closing time without harassment. There was another photographer/engagement couple in there as well. As others have said, I think it depends on who is working that day. YMMV. |
