Check out Kleb Woods:
http://www.pct3.hctx.net/PKleb/

Fairly new park without many visitors yet.

Has an old farm homestead, barn, and equipment on it that that makes for interesting backdrops. Also plenty of woodland.

Nearby are alot of ranches, horse farms, etc.

I shoot there a lot. Lots of options. I love the color of the door.

Pic looks way oversharpened on here but you get the idea.

Thanks. This place has been mentioned before. I guess it got lost somehow.

CAUTION: The old homestead, barn & visitor center are off of Mueschke Rode just south of FM 2920. The entrance on FM 2920 is the picnic area & wooded trails. The trails hold water after a rain and the bugs can be awful!

Thanks!

Yep they are photographer friendly. Lots of people go to take pictures of birds plus I called ahead to make sure portraits were ok. It's NEVER crowded either.

Crowded? I've been 3 times on Sunday afternoon. Never saw anyone else.

I seem to get there at times when the bird watchers are there but they are always sitting on the platform thing. No one ever goes near the places I like to take pics.

Does anyone have more pictures that were taken at Kleb Woods? I'm looking for a place for family portraits this weekend, and I would love to see some of the possibilities before I make the drive out there. Thanks!

P.S. Corrie...LOVE the picture!

It's not that great. Just a quickie snap. There is some old rusty equipment in and around the barn too.

Ya'll should have seen what a dump the place was before the county came in and cleaned it up. You would have been scared to approach the house when Elmer was still alive. I need to ask my dad if he has any pictures of the place back in the day.
