Name: Humble Tower & Building Location: 1212 Main St Google Map Website: Tower Part Building History: "Building" built in 1921 and designed by New York architects Clinton & Russell. Former Humble Oil Co. headquarters, recent $70 million redevelopment, now a multiuse building (retail, apartments, hotel). 17 story "Tower" adjacent to building built in 1936 and designed by John F. Staub and Kenneth Franzheim. Travis wing was completed in 1940. First office building in Houston with central A/C (1932) Interesting Tidbits: Photog Friendly: Unknown. |
