Photowalk: The Strand's Back Door

Houston Photowalks next event will be a Galveston lunch and stroll through the Strand --- including a walk through the back ally of the Strand!

I know what you're thinking, why are we walking down an ally street where they toss the trash? Believe it or not, the back streets of Galveston have a very rich environment of unusual texture and color. The century-old infrastructures are a fantastic canvas for photographic experimentation and practice. And if its interesting and unusual, its just the kinda photowalk you'll expect me to set up. :-))

Bring your toys, your off camera flashes, color flash gels, and even your family and friends if you want to take some seriously unusual portraits. Be sure and sign up for lunch. After we eat, we'll walk up the Strand about 3 blocks, then cut over a block and u-turn as the Sun starts making shadows in the ally.
