August 6th - 8AM Zoo members can get in an hour early, 8AM, before general admission at 9AM. More Info: Members First Saturday/Member Morning - Giraffe - Saturday 6-Aug-11 8:00 AM at Houston Zoo. A calendar event on Houston Zoo I was there for the July first Saturday and it is surprisingly not unbearably hot during the early hours of the AM. And quite a few animals were out and moving about. Here's some of my shots from that day: It's a zoo out there....
