Hate to be the one to tell you this, but I cover alot of these events in the Houston area, for the Official Media outlet and MOST have restrictions on audio, video and cameras allowed in the stadium. They are NOT allowed. Only those with official Media Passes issued in advance by the Promoter are even allowed to bring in a camera.

It is announced before the show and many times during the event and I have witnesses them escorting people from the stadium for violating this policy.

I just covered the DCI Event at the Barry Center on July 17, 2008 and my3peas and a friend went with the intention of taking some pictures and they were turned away at the gate. They had to leave the camera in the car.

CALL AND CHECK if they allow cameras before you make the trip with the sole intent to take photos!

Thanks for the notice Coby. I called before posting this and they said that a press pass would be required to shoot from on the field and that any images taken at the event could not be sold without going thru a filing process. They never said anything about not being able to bring cameras into the stadium. I would recommend that any electing to go call in advance to ensure nothing changes.

Very good advice! The security there maynot be as understanding unless they have been briefed in detail. I have had issues with my credentials on me sometimes..."Hey you can't bring cameras in here...."
