I went last year - it was held (I think) down by Hobby airport. They had lots of old, OLD stuff... and to someone such as myself who hasn't quite got into the joys of using film... lol... it was quite disappointing.

They did have a few folks there with newer stuff... and backdrops... I can't remember the prices, but I seem to recall thinking they were pretty good...

I don't think they had it last year, closest one was 2yrs ago.

Went to the one today, mostly old film gear. Guy with a few 8x10 cameras + box full of holders, a bunch of Leica guys.

Picked up a Wescott Apollo that needs to be clued for $40, nice un-padded Tamrac shoulder bag for $10, two coiled PC extension cords for $10, Nikon SC-17 for $20, a Bogen magic arm for $20. More or less, I'm glad about selling my old Pentax gear (I was the jerk selling out of the green Peli) and leaving the show not in debt (actually didn't spend any of money not earned from selling). Selection for newer gear was pretty limited. Alot of the film-era zooms for all brands, was hoping for a 17-XX zoom for Canon EOS but no show. Did get to play with a Leica R -90/2.8 on the 5D. That, folks - is a beautiful lens.

Favorite moment was a guy trying to sell his 50D+85/1.2+accs, seems he spent all the money not knowing the physics and was disappointed with the pictures because they werent to his liking. Maybe he should try a D3+$$$$$ lenses...

I'm intrigued by the one in June since it seems to be the one put on by the guys who usually do it. Last time it was Jack's Camera who had the best showing of more modern equipment.

KEH, B&H, and Light Tec were along with a few others that I didn't care to find names for.

Sunday from 10 until 3, according to their website.

I stopped by for a little while this afternoon. Fortunately, there was nothing there I was looking for, so it only cost me the $6 admission.

I didn't get to go today, but I will tomorrow...Ben

Truckman added 1027 Minutes and 52 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below

I went this afternoon and most of the dealers reported doing more buying than selling, a sign of the times I suppose...One guy had a lens I was interested in, but he didn't want to tell me what he wanted for it...I left with everything I walked in with......Ben
