The Leica Photo Excursion is the first event of its kind ever to be held in Houston. Proudly sponsored by Houston Camera Exchange and Leica Camera, Inc., the event will feature the Leica Digital-Modul-R and R lenses.

The photo excursion will take place at the spectacular Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The central conservatory is a dramatic three-story glass cone filled with tropical plants and exotic butterflies. During a typical visit, one can expect to see 50 to 60 different species of the world's largest and most colorful butterflies.

Join Leica representative Rob Logan, and photo experts from Houston Camera Exchange for a day of demonstration, instruction, and hands-on fun with the Leica Digital-Modul-R and R lenses.

Houston Camera Exchange is the only dealer in Houston offering the "test drive" loaner equipment program. Come in and configure your own Leica a la carte camera, test the clarity of Leica binoculars, and see the Leica D-Lux 2 camera. For those TPF Leica shooters or those just interested in learning more about Leica's incredible products, this is possibly a once-in-a-lifetime event.

This is the coolest thing ever! If I lived anywhere close to Houston I would be on this in a heartbeat. I've been dying to try out the Modul-R since it was announced.

Sorry I won't be there but I hope other's take advantage of this and report back.

Sorry you can't make it to the shoot. However, we can hopefully get our participants to post their event photos on the forum and report back on the Modul-R system to let you know what they think.
