I would SO like to be there ... is there TPF discount? I am in the Dallas area, so a discount would help with the gas

We would love to have you down. Unfortunately, there isn't a discount for this seminar.

Regards,
Mike

Discounts On Our Sponsor's Products - 04-28-2007, 08:47 AM

Although we cannot offer tuition discounts -- our tuition is already pretty low, and we limit the size of our classes to maximize the learning atmosphere -- we do offer significant discounts on the products sold by our sponsors. All of our students get coupons that let them purchase both photo equipment and software at some pretty good prices.

Many of our students "pay" for the seminars in the savings they achieve when buying MAC (Sekonic, Pocket Wizard, Profoto, Tenba, EyeOne and MultiCart), onOne Software and Lensbaby products.

Hope that helps some of you who are on tight budgets and need both education and equipment.

Dang it...I have sessions (wedding and engagement) each of those days!

And you're right, the price sure is right for something this caliber.

Please note folks, that the dates in the original announcement are correct. However, the days were not. The days are either SATURDAY or SUNDAY. I have made the correction in the announcement.

Sorry for the confusion.

Regards,
Mike

No Matter What You Shoot – There’s Something Here for You - 04-29-2007, 07:12 AM

I've been asked whether this seminar is focused on "commercial photography". It's not. The topics covered apply to ALL photography.

Weddings, seniors, portraits, fashion/glamour, or sports – no matter what we shoot, we all deal with the same issue – color consistency. We want our prints to look like what we saw with our eyes. The morning session will be dedicated to the techniques necessary to get what we see on to our prints.

No matter what we shoot, we are working with light. We’ve offered lighting as a part of every seminar – and this will be no different. However, in this session, we will spend an hour or so looking at a new lighting pattern as Jim shows us how to light his famous Tea Pot shot. Although this is a product shot, the underlying lighting techniques can be applied to all that we do.

And, finally, no matter what we shoot, for most of us, there can never be too many lessons on Photoshop. Whether we do it ourselves, or send it out to others, Photoshop plays a role in almost every image we sell.

This is truly the seminar you’ve been requesting – balanced to cover topics you’ve asked about.

I hope this answers your questions and makes clear that the topics covered apply to all of us.
