You guys are really funny!!!

We ordered 18 Mark III's at announcement and have received "ONE". Our next four are already sold and I understood that three of those would be shipped this week... didn't happen. However, the lucky three that "might" get them next week will get to pick them up tax free.

However, if you special order on Friday or Saturday and pay in full... it will be tax-free and we deliver when we get them. Plus, right now everyone (including Internet) is selling them for the same price.

Just a thought everyone.

Regards,
Mike

Tempting.. I have my tax-free exemption in over at a local shop.. but don't see them getting them anytime soon. I could go the Internet route...but then it's a crap shoot as to when they'll be available.

I am in a quandary...I have a Mark IIN with 4188 actuations.. bought in January... Need it for my backup right now. Think I may just pick up a Mark III and then put the IIn up for sale very soon after. Can't be without my backup before it arrives though.

In all seriousness... this is not a bad idea as long as pricing is somewhere close to internet prices and delivery is somewhat decent (plus or minus a few weeks)... the problem is that nobody can say when they are going to take delivery... on the other hand... I plan to get an MKIII... and I'm not going to get it until one comes in... so who do I need to talk to

Here is the deal... I can't guarantee you a delivery time because Canon won't give me a delivery time.

However, on items such as the Mk III (i.e. high demand items that aren't special order), pre-pay or deposits get priority on the roster and your deposit is always completely refundable on this type of gear. We have been doing this on the Nikon 18-200 for over a year and a half now. We will always have someone behind you that wants this purchase.

If you provide a deposit on the Mark III and find it elsewhere before we can deliver it, we will completely refund your deposit / purchase price. No restocking, etc. You get a complete refund.

This is store policy.

Of course, during the tax free event, we must have a complete product payment in order to offer the tax-free portion.

Everyone is welcome to call me at the store tomorrow if they need any clarification.

Regards,
Mike

Michael,

Our price for the MK III is $4,499.99 (.04 higher than the B&H U.S. model... they always have to be lower). Anyone can call me at the store (contact info in my sig) to make the purchase. Once again, I can't guarantee delivery timeframes, but I can guarantee to refund your purchase if you find it somewhere else faster.

Keep in mind, B&H only has 500 on backorder compared to my 17, so anything we can do to increase our backorder will put us in the running. I know that was just wrong.

Regards,
Mike
