I feel the same way. HCE is a great place run by great people. I bought my camera and a few accessories there when I could have saved a couple of bucks buying the same on-line. But you know, its worth it to look someone in the eye, ask questions and hold the products in you hands before making a purchase. I am willing to pay for that service.

Glad Charlie was able to help you out and explain the PocketWizard system. I use them myself and don't know how I lived without them in the dark ages (AKA - the pre-PocketWizard era).

Charlie should be in the store tomorrow as well to help you with the "brolly" purchase (sorry, just got back from Europe).

I can't tell you how many calls Hands On Seminars has gotten from people who have bought equipment online and have questions about using it.

My response is always the same "If you had bought it at HCE and spent a little more you'd be getting complete support."


HCE is a valuable resource that only exists because people value the support over a few dollars in savings.

I agree, now I don't mind spending a bit more when I can walk into a store, get educated on what I want and walk out with it!

Hopefully I will acquire 2 lenses from there soon....
