Now that it has been announced!!
Do you have a waiting list for the release in November?

I wonder how many units will be produced during that time, unlike the D200 which suffered banding issues
directly from the start.

This may be worth the drive to Houston in November.....

We are currently taking deposits on the camera. Of course, with Nikon, delivery is anyone's guess.

The D300 body only runs $1,799.99 and the minimum deposit we require is $200 to get you on the priority list. Of course, if you are able to find the camera elsewhere or just change your mind, we will refund the deposit.

HEHE, are you Canon or Nikon Abel?

I have actually received some very good commitments within the past couple of weeks to help finance, that coupled with 52hrs. of overtime last month.....

Arthur,

You are lucky number 13 on list. With respect to initial shipment, we have no way of telling until that first shipment actually drops. We currently have 200 bodies on order with Nikon. Hopefully we will get at least 10% of that on the first go around but there is no way to tall.

Yes we do. However, I don't expect the grips to be available at the same time as the camera. Those usually follow a month or two behind. But they could surprise me. What leads me to believe that they won't be immediately available is that I don't have any current pricing on them yet from Nikon.

Not quite sure where Nikonwatch.Com got his drugs. But I just checked the dealernet and there has been no official pricing released on the MB-D10 and no word about the Capture NX being included with bodies. I believe his rumour is just that. However, the pricing that he mentions is probably not too far off considering the cost of D80 and D200 grips.

No waiting list yet. Those things probably won't be showing up at dealers for several months after the bodies actually start shipping.
