Mike,
Unfortunately, nobody in the U.S. has this bag in stock. The Airport Security has been out of stock and on backorder for about five months. According to ThinkTank, we are expected to get our backorders in November. However, most of the bags we have on backorder are already sold. I would recommend getting on our waiting list (or some other dealers). I am confident that once we get the sold bags back in, we will be in a backorder situation again. Our price is $330 for the Security roller.
Thanks,

Well that stinks!
How about the Airport International, the same problem? It's just a little smaller, correct?

The same is not true with the International. We have been able to get those and the system shows 2 currently in stock at $295.00. You are correct, same type of bag design, just smaller. Personally, I love the International. I have everything in one (including a laptop in the Artificial Intelligence 15 in the front pocket) with room to spare and it DOES fit international overheads (even the puddle jumpers). Great bag.
Thanks,

Thanks for the input Mike. I went by and looked at them all in person. I chose the Pelican. Can't remember the model number off the top of my head, but it was the dark green one with leather accents. It was big and had a removable computer bag. Holds everything nicely. I'm heading out this weekend and will see how it works out for me.

If I didn't already of my ThinkTank, that would have been my other choice.
Enjoy,

Nathan,
I had my Airport Security shipped to me from HCE for $10 and that was to D/FW. Love the roller.
I recently went on a trip to Vermont where I was on some very small planes. I used the Urban Disguise 60 instead of the roller. Worked very well and held my 17" laptop as well as everything else I needed.

That depends on if you beat Abel, "The Bag Hog", into the store. Otherwise you may be right. Our current order of replenishment Internationals looks to be backorded from TT as well now.

Wasn't that back in May or June? Back when we got our other shipment of five-month-old backorders for Airport Security rollers?
In all seriousness folks... ThinkTank makes great gear! As a small and slightly newish manufacturer, I don't believe they really understood or foresaw the popularity of their bags. Due to that, they obviously didn't project that to their facilities. Hence the manufacturing delays.
We are patient and we appreciate your patience as well.
Yes... I have now spoken the ThinkTank pledge! Money should be forthcoming any minute.
In all things ThinkTank... I remain humbly...

Got the Airport International today!!
I was deciding between this one and the Lowepro which was about the same size, but the TT seemed to be more secure and "looked cooler"
I have to be honest, I hate going to Camera Exchange beause I always end up getting more than I go in for
ended up with the TT, a new Giotto's Monopod and a replacement diffuser dome for my SB800

Nathan,
I just got information from Think Tank that anyone who purchases a Airport International bag between November 1, 2007 and January 1, 2007 will receive a free set of low dividers directly from Think Tank Photo. Since you purchased yours on the 12th, you certainly qualify for the freebie.
You can download the coupon here: http://www.thinktankphoto.com/couponai/
Thanks,
