Arrow Mike Wheeler - Our thoughts and prayers are with you... - 03-24-2008, 10:04 AM

Mike Wheeler informed me that he found out on Friday that his 22 year old daughter has cancer. He mentioned that he will be out of pocket this week so not to fret if a post or PM doesn’t get a reply immediately.

I wanted to let Mike know that our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this tough time.

Many of us know Mike personally from the forum as well as behind the counter at the Houston Camera Exchange storefront. He has always been there for us as forum members and now its time for us to give a little back in the form of our thoughts, prayers and well wishes.

Mike… We’re with ya through thick and thin… Keep your head up my friend.

Sorry to hear the news. My daughter in law is a cancer survivor a bit younger than your daughter. Unfortunately, she will undergo surgery on Fri. to remove some of the scar tissue in her breathing canal that is slowly trying to close up.

Witnessing cancer in someone so young is difficult and disappointing.

Our prayers and faith go out to you and with you.

Well Mike...I'm a long long ways away from your store, but not too far away to wish your Daughter a speedy and complete recovery!
Keep the Faith, and the Faith will pull your Daughter through!

Mike's daughter and family will be in my prayers. This past week I was in Houston participating in FotoFest. On a shuttle ride from the hotel, an older man and woman asked me why I was there. I told them and then asked them. The woman told me that her husband was visiting M.D. Anderson to get results from his latest tests, which they hoped would be positive. And we talked about that. It put any of my concerns into perspective. We should each be grateful for the blessings we have.
