Just got off the phone with Mike and he says the store will be closed since the power won't be restored til Monday at the earliest.

Just an FYI for those that may need something from the storefront...

Folks,

For those of you that may have attempted to contact us or come by the store, we are still closed after Ike. No damage to the store or equipment, just no power.

According to CenterPoint Energy, we may not see power in our area until Monday the 22nd or possibly even later. We are a low priority concern right now and with more than 1 million houses still without power, I can certainly understand that.

From my understanding as of late last night, Camera Co-Op in town is also without power as well.

Will let you know when we are up and running again.

Call first. If you don't get an answer or a answering machine, we are still out of power. Like I said before, we are (understandably) low on the priority list for the power company. Therefore, it may be a while before we are back up and running.

All,

We were actually able to open today (Saturday). Power was restored at about 8:15 AM and I was able to get the systems back up and running in time to open the store at our normal 10:00 AM Saturday opening time. We actually had a large crowd in the store for most of the day.

We will be open on Monday at the normal time (9:30 AM) for those that have been in need of your HCE fix (Abel, Angel, Coby... you know who you are).

Anyway, we seem to be back at full speed so stop by or give us a call if you need something.

I haven't heard anything from Co-Op but I am sure that they aren't far behind or may have opened as well. CenterPoint seems to be ahead of their estimates (at least for us). Hope they are as well for the rest of you.
