so who all is going to the Houston Zoo?

I'm starting to reconsider myself. It's gonna be hot as all heck, and I've got another engagement Sat night and not sure I want to spend all morning out in the heat of the zoo (they offer very little shade) and then go shoot Houston Roller Derby in the evening. Figured I'd see who all was going especially since we had such a great time last year.

Oh, and since I have virtually no life, I was thinking about doing the Kemah one early in the morning, and then the Brenham one (already signed up) that evening. Oil companies love me.

Anyone signed up for Kemah?

Richard: Make sure to get some pics of the merch girl, Veronica Venom. She's one of my bestest friends' girlfriend. And she's hot!

I canceled by entry into the Zoo one. By the time it I got around to signing up for the Downtown Houston one, it was full (I think the USA Today mentioned did that to most of them, a few days earlier it was at less than 40%).

I'm going to go to the Downtown one (UH Downtown at about 8) anyways, just not as a person able to enter the contest.

Kemah PW was great! Well-coordinated, nice people, beautiful sunrise...but got very hot very quickly. I began feeling a little weird - lightheaded and kinda woozy - so I grabbed some water and headed home.

I took a 4-hour nap and now I'm ready to head out to Brenham in a couple of hours. We're meeting in front of the historic Simon Theater at 6:45! If any of y'all are bored, head on out there. There are only, like, 20-something people signed up! Come on...what else would you do tonight?!? 109 West Main, 77833 for you GPSers.

Just got ready to leave the house when I heard thunder. Looking at the radar - DT is at the edge of a cell and looks to be getting wet right now. Should be a short cell though (30 minutes or so), so I'll still head that way just in case. (with garbage bags in the backpack)
