The Richmond Arms Pub (?)

Anyone ever come by here? Wonderful little hole-in-the-wall type of place, with lots of cool stuff on their calendar each month.


I say this because every month they have a mini-car show in their parking lot (it's pretty big and relatively hidden), and I've been wanting to go and maybe snap some pics. Not sure if anyone here has been before, just thought I'd ask :)

I go to the subway/wendy's next door (left and right) during lunchtime, and walk to HCE to kill time.

when do they have this mini-car show? I'm assuming weekends because I never see that many cars in their lot, unless there's a big game on the sched.

People are funny about their cars though. I remember I saw a woman pull up in a corvette that had the new license plates on it so I was looking at it for a minute and she got all pissy telling me "you have a problem with my car??" and she flashed a badge at me and threatened that if anything happened to her car she'd be looking for me. That was like a block away from this place lol.

This is a long time ago when Richmond was the center of night life so I think she was just made that she had to pay for parking.

I just visited Richmond Arms' website. The car folks are the Toad Club and meet the third Wednesday of every month:

I like cool old cars, so I'll probably mark this down on my calendar. And I'll bring my camera if I go.

I used to do a lot of motorsports photography, and one of the things I learned was that people who are proud of their cars usually enjoy having pictures taken of them -- especially when you offer to send them copies. Shoot, I used to sell them copies.
