Galveson help! - 05-11-2010, 04:24 PM

I am going down to galveston on friday to shoot some children....ha ha ha. i was wondering what is the best place to go. I was just down there and was on the sea wall...not so great for photos. Any suggestions where there may be some dunes or something else other than just FLAT beach! I saw on here that some people said Galveston state park is good, but I have never been there. Any help would be great!
Thanks

There is always the Seaport Museum and tall ship Elissa:
GALVESTON.COM: Texas Seaport Museum / Elissa

If you want something different, drive to the south end of the seawall and park behind the condo there.

Seawall End, Galveston

i love that photo and area, but I think that mom is looking for more beach"ey" type photos. But it just seems that everything is just flat. I guess all beaches are "flat" but I guess ours are just so ugly! I am sure ours are all filled with oil now too. lol

Does anyone know if you can park fairly close to the beach at the galveston state park. i guess if we go there, we can use the showers too? Does anyone know how far the park is from downtown galveston? Thanks
