Houston Art Car Ball and Parade Pics

Interesting story behind this photo... I was taking shots of his plane approaching when he yells out that he had no brakes... people didn't really react to him or hear him and I was pretty much in front of him. I reached up and he was serious in that the plane was rolling forward... it nearly pushed me back but was I was able to plant my feet, I stopped the plane literally and inch or two from the pinata car in front of it. The parade crowd gave me a round of applause and a dude on roller skates rolled by to tell him that he would stay with the plane the rest of the way to help him stop. As I looked back, I really did think that it was going to collide into the car in front of it...

Sweet shots. I have been to the art car parade and show a few times in the past. Once to video tape it for another client.

And was that really Git-R-Done man, Larry???

Way to be quick on your feet with the plane car. He must have been going like 5-10mph.
