Try heading across 45 behind the Challenger Park. Been a few years since I was there (looking for Eagles and Hawks), but there were some dirt roads back taht way and further towards Alvin.

Although it may be too far for you, George Bush Park and the Barker Reservoir has everything from trails to defined gravel roads, most of which are behind gates and very secluded.
