The 6X7 Saturday Outing - 10-10-2010, 05:09 PM

Five of us met at La Madeleine restaurant in the Woodlands, had breakfast then trekked the Woodlands Waterway. After walking a good part of the Waterway we took a break for lunch at a local watering hole, The Goose's Acre, right on the Waterway. Here are two of what I brought back.

Thank you Wayne for organizing this memorable shoot.

Angel, thanks for starting this thread. I really enjoyed getting together yesterday, seeing you again and meeting Steve.

It seems that reflections were a popular theme... here are 2 of mine to add to the list...

I also have a few of the deer from Anadarko on my gallery, but the lighting on them was not good... they may disappear in a few days! LOL!

I welcome comments on any picture I post... Thanks.

Westley, WOW! Beautiful images. But I know you have some more gems hidden somewhere, so come clean, let's see them...

I think it was you that while we were walking alongside these ducks said, "we have to walk fast to keep up with these ducks". Well, all of a sudden they were swimming inside this reflection and I just took that first one.

Great lighting, weather, conversation and fun.

We need to do this again real soon.

So, Angelo was quick enough to frame the ducks. I'm too old and slow. Speaking of slow, it'll be a week or two before my 6x7 negatives return from Deep Space. Angelo, where was your 6x7 camera? Lee and I used the correct equipment. Grinning.
A big "Well Done" to Wes and Angelo! We will do this again.

Here We Are. - 10-11-2010, 03:35 PM

My 6X7 was at the rest-home where it belongs... LOL
I've paid my dues for over 40 years. Now it's time to make it easy on myself, yet enjoy photography without spending the hours inside a room with a little red light. No more wet processing for me... In a way I'll miss it

Let's try and do another shoot somewhere in the area. I've not gone to that cemetery you mentioned. I've seen some of the b&w you've done and it looks like it's worth while.

From Left to Right: Lee, Angelo, Westley, Wayne & Steve.

Thanks Steve for the Photo.

This is a test. Strictly point & shoot and see what happens. No tripod. No thought. Wherein Wayne learns to like ASA 6400. Whereas a bit of bracketing, a pinch of Enfuse and a dash of Lightroom conspire to make these.

You knew that I couldn't leave them alone. Two B&W actions. First is platinum. Second is cool tone.

Next up..........Wayne has some real fun.

Cool It's all Valerie's fault - 10-12-2010, 07:45 AM

Valerie made me do it. With a little help from Clay Harmon and Kyle Cassidy. Inspiration from Dr. Ted who said, "If you can see it, you can shoot it." I absolutely couldn't have done it without iCe.

An early exploration into HoLomoga land...........

If you get it, great. If you don't get it, that's cool too.
