Question Tall Grass. - 12-12-2010, 08:00 PM

Shoot me now, I know... I've seen this thread quite a bit actually.

But I must ask again...
Any tall grassy areas in or around Hockley, TX?

I tried to do my leg work, and after 4 hours of driving around and getting lost (yes on purpose), I came up empty handed and went home with a frowny face.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be so very very thankful!

ps. Just updated my profile... I've MIA since I joined practically, but am making an effort to stick around this time!

Thank you!

Kind of heard this time of year - fall harvests (both first and seconds) for Hay have been done and the growing season has stopped.

Also the low temps we have had for a couple of nights in the last few weeks will have weighed down most grass stalks so they will be bent over instead of standing.

PM me. I'm one of the old farming families in Hockley. Depending on what you want to do and what your schedule is like, I may have the tall grass. I just might have a few hundred acres of it ;)

Sounds like a plan. I was going to say that grass doesn't get very tall before it is cut and bailed.
