TaeKwonDo tournament this weekend.

Just thought I'd let you Houston guys know that there is a National TaeKwonDo Tournament this weekend in Beaumont at Ford Park. I will be there Friday afternoon and most of the day satuday (all 3 of my kids compete on saturday) for it. Was hoping to try and get a DSLR by this weekend but it looks like it will have to be the trusty S5000 taking all my pic's. If anyone is interested, I can get all the times and post them on here.

Wow, guess there wasnt much interest in this one. Was a really neat weekend with some very good opportunities for some really good shots. I will try and get a few posted in the next couple of days.

there was interest, I just already had a session booked at the same time. Let me know when the next one comes up.....

Got some more work to do on them to get presentable. Lighting wasnt the best but better than I expected.


Not sure when another one is in Texas, but the next National that I know of is in Alabama in October. I can get more info on that if your interested, but its a bit of a drive. heh heh

heh heh.. Will do! I think the wife is already looking at plane tickets for that one. Bit too far to drive for just one day of competition (for our kids anyway).

Heres a few from the tournament.

The guy facing away from the camera is my sons' instructor. He's going for his 5th degree ranking this year.


This is the guy that won the men's 4th degree sparring (our instructor took second). He also earned his 5th degree ranking this weekend.


This guy won the 4th degree men's extreme form competition.


This is a 4th degree breaking boards during testing for his 5th degree ranking.


Not the best, I know. Lighting wasnt bad for indoors, but my camera just isnt fond of the indoor stuff. By the nexttournament Im hoping to have a DSLR and a couple of decent lenses to try and get some better shots.
