New Studio open to rent - 03-10-2005, 10:32 AM

Hey all, I remember seeing a topic about someone looking for a studio for rent in Houston. I just got an email about one opening on the North side. I am not in any way affilated with them, I just thought I would share the email. This one is pretty close to where I have my own studio actually. I think they are having an open house tonight. Here is the email I was sent:

Platinum Cable and Bikini USA have made their studio open to
the photographers for daily rental.

This great new studio offers:

* 12x16 studio with all white walls and hardwood floors
* 12x16 garage style studio with overhead door
* White fluted columns framing a "window seat"
* Reception area
* Hair/Makeup dressing counter
* Dressing/changing area

!!EXCELLENT REASONABLE RATES!!
*FULL DAY* *HALF DAY* and *EVENING HOURS*

Studio is located at 187 Dyna Dr, Houston, Texas 77060, on the
north side of Houston.

Directions to studio: Take the West Road exit from I-45 (either
north or southbound) and go North to the first right turn. At
"China Border Restaurant," turn right into the Burger Kind
parking lot.

Call studio for availability and rates: 281-999-5190

That's all I know for now. I tried calling but got an answering machine. I am going to go by later this afternoon since it is right around the corner from me. If I find out I will let y'all know.

I talked to Heather's mom last week and their's is almost ready in Sugarland, if you are in west Houston, you should be able to take Hwy 6 or the Grand Parkway over....maybe she will post details later...

I have been there. It took me a while to find it because like you said there are no signs or anything that even looks like a studio. It is behind the burger king in the storage for rent buildings. They have converted some of them into a studio. When I went they still had some work to do on the changing area, but the rest looked ok. They said they had lights to use too. I think the price they quoted me was 150 for a full day and 75 for a half day. I could be wrong I will have to check the card they wrote it down on.

An open house and group shoot would be a great way to get the word out.

I been to that Studio, I rented it a few years ago from Rob and Kathy, not sure if they are back in there again, I believe it is not big anough to put a car in, just have the garage look since it is a storage.

About the stafford area, there is one by Bellaire close to that Fiesta, I just can't remember the guy's name, it is huge, they rent by the month or by the day and you can bring in cars inside...if I remember I will let you know, I think it is in Rampart or one of those back streets.
