Houston - Glenwood Cemetary - June 4th
Wayne & I will be going to Glenwood Cemetery for some shooting this Saturday morning, 6/4. The cemetery opens around 7:30, but we will not be able to get there until around 9:30 - - a prior commitment keeps us from being earlier.
We would welcome anyone interested in meeting up there. There have been a few threads over the past few weeks about a good place to test LF, new lenses, etc., and this is it. I, for one, have some new stuff I want to try out on some of my favorite subjects.
I suspect that when it becomes too oppressive to shoot any longer, we can adjourn to one of the local food & beverage establishments for a late lunch.
I hope to see you there. June 4th Glenwood Cemetary

As always this will be a most informal gathering. Everyone is welcome. All recording media is welcome. Yep, that's right. Any format. Any type of memory card. There are always nice trees and flowers if cemetery sculpture isn't your thing.
Remember, Star Pizza is just down Washington Avenue from Glenwood.

Where is the best place to park/meet up I've never been to Glenwood?
I'll be there at 9am. | | | |

David, when you turn in from Washington, you will immediately come to a fork in the road... take it.
There is no one place to park or meet-up - - people will be scattered around... The little roads criss-cross through the cemetery and some appear a little wider than others. We usually find some out of the way place that looks interesting to park and then take off on foot. You may want to cruise for a few minutes to see if you can locate people. If there is going to be a funeral in a specific area, they usually tell us so we can move the cars.

Best to park on one of the cross streets off of the main perimeter streets.

So Abel should totally come, relax, and shoot some B&W; one of us could develop it for him. | | | |

As a general rule. we show up, go our separate ways, meet back up and go to lunch.
There is a Security guy constantly patrolling the grounds. Probably one of the most secure places to shoot around Houston.

Hm, I have a wedding Saturday afternoon, so that'd be cutting it short. I was looking to go last weekend, but maybe I'll go Sunday.
