Seeking abandoned machinery and industrial sites

I am seeking other safe, publically-accessable areas similar to the abandoned wellsite described and "proofed" below:

Old oil and gas well sites, industrial faciliies, power plants and substations (de-energized of course), abandoned cars and trucks, etc. would be of interest.

If there are any models that would like take part in similar projects on a TFP basis, please let me know.

I am also interested in exploring the artistic potential of junkyards, both with and without models. Here is an example from the El Paso area:
