Houston Photo Challenge - "In Minds"

Anyone in the mood for a photo challenge?

In front of the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts (800 Bagby) there is a sculptor by British-born artist, Tony Cragg, named "In Minds." Its two tall striking figures that mimic human profiles on the corner of Bagby and Walker downtown.



I think it would be fun to see how differently we all see this piece of art and present it in photograph. I also think it will be a challenging photograph. The sculture is all black and if photographed during the day the all glass facade of the Hobby Center behind it could make for tricky exposure.

If you want to participate just post a photo in this thread. If you like, you can explain what you were trying to accomplish in your photo and why you chose the angle you did. If a lot of participate, we'll all be the winner of this challenge.

I did end up having some time last weekend. I was at the Hobby Center and Tranquillity Park as the sun was setting on Saturday. Here are three shots of the In Minds statue that I liked... (to be posted, with a couple slightly different versions, on my photoblog over the next few days as well).

Critiques welcome! This particular challenge doesn't seem to have caught on, but I do like the idea of multiple people going out and shooting the same thing, it's a neat exercise.

Thanks, that was an accident. I was in a hurry and on the way back to my car when I saw the fountain (I'm a sucker for waterfalls) and just snapped a few. I'll take my time this weekend
