Cool 120/220 Film developing & Printing - 07-07-2007, 10:01 PM

Here's another Late Show printing question. No time limit.

I'm looking for anyone who can develop 120/220 film (E6, C-41 and B&W) and make wet enlargements from the 6x7 originals. If nobody is operating a traditional darkroom anymore, how about somebody printing on Kodak or Fuji photographic paper?

Bueller? Bueller? Anybody?

If it's C41, Camera Exchange can handle it.

Aside from that, I have to use my mail-away lab (Miller's) for others.

I'm in Houston. Who and where is Coby? C-41 is a start. E6 & B&W would be a Trifecta!

I can mail everything to Dwayne's Photo. Who and where is Miller's?

I am a ways from you Wayne. I wouldn't be very speedy about developing your film either, as I stay pretty busy. I do have a full dark room however. (Up to 20x24" Print capacity.) I no longer have a C-41 Processor either. Only E-6 and B & W.

I outsource my C-41 Film processing to Pounds Labs in Dallas and simply scan the negatives when they return my film. If you are not pushing or pulling a roll of film, you will be fine with a Lab processing.

The only thing I print regularly in the Darkroom here is B & W. E-6 is scanned and printed digitally.

All the labs mentioned are good, but I think that Pounds still has a customer counter in Houston. They used to have labs in Dallas, Houston and Austin, but when it came time to upgrade to digital it was too expensive to outfit three locations so everything was moved to Dallas.

Most of my film friends take their 120 film to either HPI or AZ Photo lab.

I personally use HPI because they are open on weekends which works better for my schedule.

AZ Lab or Houston Photo Imaging in Houston should be able to handle your needs. Bill Barber
