Any other "real" Camera stores in the area besides - 06-28-2005, 12:25 PM

Hi, everyone. I am just looking for any other real camera stores that would have specialty equipment like HCE (Houston Camera Exchange). I live in Magnolia but I will drive if I have to. In California nice camera stores were seemingly everywhere imagine my dismay moving to the Houston area and only having one. The mall stores are terrible so don't even get me started. It would just be nice to go to a real store and buy the things that I need from time to time. I shoot digital, medium format and 35mm if that helps.

Thanks in advance.

PS. I like HCE but just wonder if there are any other options out there :)

I've never been there myself, but I believe there's a camera store in Spring closer to where you live, Photosource is located at 5106 Louetta.
The one that I usually go to is Pro Photo Supply as suggested above.

Been to all of them. Find Camera Co-Op to have the best service while Camera Exchange has a larger inventory. Pro Photo is a bit higher price and ONLY open M-F until 5:00 PM!

Wow, Photosource is still in business? I went there back in the 80's.
They must be doing something right...
