'Bammel, Tx' sign location? - 09-14-2007, 02:00 PM

Anyone familiar with a location of the 'Bammel, Tx' sign. (Yeah, I know its in Bammel ) but don't have a specific location. A friend in Oregon, who is a relative of the founder of Bammel, hinted that I should steal the sign, in exchange for a driving tour of the best photo locations around his area. Since I'll be there for the Holidays this year, we came to a compromise of some images from around the town instead, and a large print of the sign.

Thanks all,

Just looking to locate the 'Bammel, Tx" sign for a few shots and a few interesting spots that represent the towns beginnings, like the pre-civil war cemetary, etc, for the founder's relatives.

Thanks, Zach

Tonight on the news:

"On an unrelated note the welcome sign to Bammel, Texas disappeared but prints of a tripod and ThinkTank bag were left at the scene. Investigators think it was a Canon shooter."

I live in the area but have not scene the/a sign. There are plenty referances to it, Bammel Church of Christ, Bammel Noth Houston rd. and so on. I keep my eye open. The Bammel area covers from Stubner Airline Rd east to FM 1960 and IH 45.

Looks like a trip to Bammel is in order. Hear there are some nice locations to scout around that area. He'll really appreciate some coverage of the town. Thanks all.
