Woodlands Photoshoot Options - 09-17-2007, 06:02 PM

I'm looking for any suggestions on places to shoot in the Woodlands. I did see a previous thread that suggested the Portofino Shopping Center. Do I need to get approval ahead of time for this location?
Also I saw some mentionings of Market Street and Old Town Spring.
I would like to get some "urban"-type shots; something with chipped paint and other interesting textures for backdrops. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Generally, The Woodlands is too well cared for to find the type of urban shots you described. You might try looking in close vacinity to The Woodlands proper though. . .

Not sure about 'chipped-paint' places but here's some general areas in the area

------
Portofino Shopping center off I 45N feeder road between Research Forest & Hwy 242. Here a couple of past threads w/ some beautiful captures out there.

Town Green Park next to Market Street in The Woodlands.

From Beltway 8 (north):
North on I-45
Exit Woodlands Parkway
Right on Six Pines (2nd stoplight)
Left on Lake Robbins (2nd stoplight)
Town Green Park is on left, between the pavillion and Montgomery Public Library.

Other options:
Northshore Park off Lake Woodlands Dr. (2-3? miles west of I-45)
Southshore Park off Woodlands Parkway (2-3? miles west of I-45)
