Here are a few I have found. Now just to get out when we come down.
Shepard Park Plaza off Ella about 3/4 mile north of 610 Height blvd in the Heights Scott Crest Scott St between Yellow Stone & OST
Prestonwood (near 249 & 1960) has a legendary neighborhood light display with each street sporting its own theme. This has been going on ever since I was a kid. There's a Travel Channel special featuring it in a couple days.
If you are looking for something you can walk around and see, the Heights, Woodlands Town Center and Sugar Land Town Center might be good choices. Kemah Boardwalk and Moody Gardens, too.
Pecan Grove in Richmond is a great place to see Christmas lights! It's actually required by their HOA that you decorate unless you have religious reasons not to. To get there from Beltway, go 59 South through Sugar Land. Exit 99 (Grand Parkway) and go north/right. Left on 90A. Right on FM 359. Continue approximately 2-3 miles. Pecan Grove will be on your right. You will see a huge country club with fountain on the corner.
There is a home in Pasadena (on the Clear Lake side) that people are waiting in line to see. The lights move in time with music which you can hear when you near the home by setting your car radio to 95.3. Quite impressive. They play two different songs and then it repeats. One is fast moving sort of Transiberian Orch. and the other is a soft, sweet sound. Cars pull up in front watch the display and usually stay for both songs, then move on, after which another row of cars moves on up.
