I've not completed the schema for the db yet (been kinda busy lately), but am currently thinking that linking the model to the photographer to the mua (to whoever else) for a "shoot", plus add the ability to "score" the shoot (in each direction) similar to what is being discussed is currently the way I'm heading. So the idea would be a bit of validation between each party involved by having images from the shoot being the tie that binds them (each in turn being either linked or displayed as part of the portfolio). As well, some weight will have to be given for the number of reciprocating links for each involved as well (maybe even have this weight the search results as well?).

Needless to say, so far all the suggestions posted so far are being considered, and I'm trying desperately to figure out how to incorporate the majority of them into the schema. This went from a "neat idea" to "wholly giant development scope batman" really quick!

Thanks all...and keep the comments/thoughts/suggestions coming!

Yeah, this sounds good. In OMP, I can post a photo as a photographer, and link it to a model, but they don't necessarily have the resources to include that shot in THEIR portfolio without sending them a copy of the jpeg to submit themselves. Having a tied db table would allow the server to keep one copy of the photo (saving resources) but have it optionally displayed on the photog's, model's or MUA's page. Good planning...
