Just a couple of IR shots I got on our hike to the summit of Elk Mountain.

From the summit looking south.

From the trail, almost to the top looking north.

Good ones, Jerry: very contrasty B&W's. Seems like you just beat the heat for such an adventure.

These look great! Did you happen to do a pano?

Thanks Bruce, and John. Yes, the temps were around 85-90, not bad for hiking. I was watching those clouds all afternoon to be sure that we did not get caught on the mountain in a developing electrical storm. Our luck held.

These are from other visits. Here's Elk in a pano from the south in Charon's Gardens. My avatar was taken by Dane Tessler as I was humping the tripod out looking for the spot for this picture.

From the summit, looking NE. Mount Scott is the bump in the mid right hand area.

Sheryl and I love that place, especially the hike up Elk.
