Be advised: Weekend before last Caddo Lake was way out of it's banks. TPF member Westley Clavey had a trip scheduled for Oct 19-21. His guide couldn't get within a mile of his boat. The cabin Wes rented had water in it. Caddo Lake got a lot more rain overnight. It may be awhile before the lake is accessible. Call ahead before you go.

Thanks for the comments. The water IS high right now: we stopped in Uncertain, Texas to ask where the lake was, and one local replied: "It's everywhere."

This series was taken from the Louisiana side where lake vistas seem more plentiful.
