Not sure if its the shadows or the blue hue tint (on My Monitor). But I don't really find the shot flattering to the model. I do like how the IR seems to smooth out the skin, in that you really don't see in blemishes.

Thanks Mark...I have played with false coloring the skin...did not know if should maybe I will post one of those...the smooth skin...actually was acomplished because a make-up artist did most of the work...

Actually IR gives you other issues with people, veins and other imperfections seem to show-up when shooting...

Try B&W IR in fashion related,
False color "blue" is for gouls and not people.

Actually, I really like it, but I'm kinda weird anyway.

Yes, it is kinda ghoulish, and no, it doesn't flatter the model, but if those were your intentions, then I think you did a pretty good job, especially for your second effort. I also like how well her expression and pose fit and help define the whole mood of the photo.

Did you process the rest of the shoot the same way?

Thanks for all the feedback...no I had my a200 with me and shot off a few shots...more to see what I could do...I did two mistakes...1) did not do a custom WB to something around her...(which gave me no range...)...2) I did not have the right ISO setting...the camera was pre-set to 400 when I should have been at 125 to 200...I was playing around a few nights before...never less the images did kick out great...but needed to proccess them more...

I will include an original image and another one I played with....my thoughts were to have a type of dread look...backed into a corner...I really wanted to do a false skin tone..but the colors are too flat to do that...

Here is the original image from the camera...only converted from RAW to JPG...

This is another image I played with...

This is the original out of the camera...

Again thank you for all the comments....
