Good start in IR. If you have a chance to use a filter more in the 630nm to 720nm range, your exposure time will come down considerably.

I hope you don't mind...but if you play with your tones...you can make the picture POP....one of the easiest pieces of software to use is Nikons NX2....you can download a free 60 day trial here...Nikon NX2 Free Trial

Yes I bought a kit on ebay for 15.00 720nm, 850nm, and 950nm.

720nm 1-5sec

850nm 10-15sec

950nm 20-30sec

I just haven't had time for any post process. Funny thing is when I bought this at HCE the guy told me in order for me to do any IR that I would need to convert it for $500. Lucky me I have done this before on my sony DC all I did is fool around with the settings.

LOL....I love my IR converted camera... I played with the filters too...but wanted to start shooting people...and asking someone to stand for 20 or 30 secs...perfectly still probably would never happen...
