Fort Worth's Stockyards: why the city is called "Cowtown." This is the Visitors' Center.

That would be 'Niles City', three miles north of the business center of Fort Worth in central Tarrant County, it was incorporated in February 1911. The town was called "the richest little city in the state of Texas" Home of the first "Fat Stock Show" A lot of local history here.
