Note to self, shoot IR after the sun is up for an hour or so; I really like the last two.
I need a shutter release for longer than 30second exposures for sure.

You've a good start here. Usually, IR photos on TPF receive little feedback. However, there is a separate portion of the forum devoted to Infrared photography where you might obtain some interaction with other interested photogs:

Infrared

Good luck.

Hey David....I took two of your pictures and played with them a little...they are low res...so a I got a lot of distortion...but you can see where I was going with them...a little more manipulation...and I think a few of the pictures above could turn out 100x better...

Hope you don't mind...

I like the b&w conversion but not so sure about the first though it is better than mine. I need to develop a consistent IR workflow.

I tried to do more with it...but it just got really pixelated and skewed...I would love to play with the original if you would like to send it to me... tcoglia@aol.com .... I liked both of the shots...

IR took me about 3 months to figure out my work-flow...usually I use PS4/5 to do the false colors...then manipulate the picture from there in PS4/5 or NX2.....

I guess I'm too afraid of over-manipulating to get what I "like" out of these images. I'm not satisfied because I don't know what good exposure looks like SOOC.
