Lightbulb Thistle Hill - Fort Worth - 06-07-2011, 05:09 PM

Critique: NC:

Thistle Hill was built in 1904 and is the largest and most impressive Cattle Baron era mansion still standing in Fort Worth. The home is 2 and 1/2 stories with a gambrel roof. Projecting bays on each side of the home use semi-circular elements. The brick home is trimmed in cast stone and the sloped roof is green tile. Interior features include a grand staircase and elaborate woodwork. The grounds are fenced with brick walls and ornamental iron, and a beautiful carriage house remains on the rear of the property.

Given the (apparent) lighting conditions, this shot was a good candidate for multiple exposure bracketing and some HDR composition. Not being picky - just wishing that amazing house was brighter.

I wish it was brighter too, but I also am guess you had a lighting thing to deal with.

Would love to see the inside! LOL

Hey now - no fair just going into photoshop...brightening the shadows...and reposting the image so we look silly for saying it's "too dark."

Cheater cheater pumpkin eater...

(Of course while you're at it, run a noise filter to smooth out the low levels...)
