Married and have three boys. I travel about 35% of the time for my job. I cover the entire gulf coast and try to take my camera on the longer trips.

I got back into my photography hobby after doing a couple of private weddings. I've always taken action and landscape photos, but I forgot how much I really liked it. My buddy loaned me his lens' for the wedding and I got hooked again, so I'm ready to take the plunge on some 17-55mm and 80-200mm f/2.8 lens.

I'm here to learn and re-learn. I've always shot film and digital was a convenience. I own a D70 and a few assorted lens, but no f/2.8s.

Welcome from Frisco. You will love the 70-200 2.8! I use it along with a 28-300 and a 10.5 Fisheye for weddings. I also use the 70-200 on portraits. Great lens.

I hear the 70-200mm is a nice choice and versatile. I decided on an 80-200mm due to price.

Welcome to the forum, Rick! That 80-200/2.8 is a good piece of glass - eventually you may step up to the 70-200, but either produce outstanding images.
