Talking A New Mexican HOWDY - 10-02-2009, 07:18 AM

Well, I don't live in Texas, but I live close to Texas, it's about 8 miles from my front door to the TX, NM border. I sure hope y'all will let me share some of my images of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico with you.

Also, please take what I say with a grain of salt, I love to joke around.

I still say our Mexican food is a lot better then your Mexican food.

There, see what I mean?

Hey did you know the TRINITY BOMB SITE is open to the public tommorrow (sat) from like 9am till 2pm? Only 2 days a year!

Tex-Mex vs Christmas tough match- a lot of Tex-Mex comes from different areas of Mexico for it's roots than your style of Mexican Food but they both kick the crap out of the stuff you find along the US East Coast.

Didn't know Mexican food fell in the the religion/politics arena.

You know of course the official New Mexican question; Red or Green?

Yes sir Trinity Site is open the first Saturday in April and October. Keep meaning to get over there one day. You can also go west from the Trinity site to San Antonio (yes, we have one over here too) and stop at the Owl Cafe' for one of the finest Green Chili Cheese burgers in the country no doubt.

Lubbock, try to make it over at least once ever couple of months for something, can't stay in Clovis all the time. I'm originally from Amarillo, so I also try to make it up there as often as I can, I hope to be up there this weekend.

Darn, I haven't been in, through or near Frisco since the early 80's, you guys still over there, Dallas hasn't grown north far enough to gobble you guys up?

Thank you for the welcomes.

yes on this forum Food is very political!
Red or green? Christmas please. I can never decide. Depending upon who makes it it can go either way.

We we in Santa Fe a couple of weeks ago and had the green chile burger from Bobcat Bites. I thought I died and went to heaven. IT was the BEST burger I have ever had. It was so good we drove back 4 days later, from chama, to have another one. They were closed...so I left tears on their door step. We will have to come try your Chile Burger out.
