How are my fellow Texas photogs this morning?
My name is George, and I reside in Cypress, a city melded with Houston. I'm not a native Texan, but I have lived here a pretty good chunk of my life (almost 30 years now). I was born in the Philippines, grew up in Hawaii, Washington state, Utah, and California before my parents brought our family here in 1981. I was a hobbyist photog in my late teens and early twenties before hocking all of my equipment to pay rent. After all these years, digital photography and a more stable lifestyle have allowed me to view life through the looking glass once again. Two years ago, I bought a Rebel after many years of playing around with digital point-and-shoot cameras, then when the 5D MK II came out last year, I sold one of my motorcycles to purchase one. Now, many dollars later, I have a decent array of lenses to help me pursue my newly revived passion. I've started doing weddings this year, and so far have four under my belt and at least one booked for the spring. I also have some of
Adorama's fine Flashpoint monolights put together for a decent portable portrait studio.
So, that's me. Glad to be here!
