Hi guys! I stumbled across this forum looking for neat places to shoot in Ft. Worth and decided to join!

My name is Jenny. I own a Canon Rebel XSi, the kit lense, and the EFS 55-250mm. My parents bought me the Speedlite 240EX II for Christmas and I am still trying to figure out how the heck to work that thing. Yesterday I ordered myself the Nifty Fifty, so I am excited for that to arrive. Amazon had a good deal on it. I also have a Holga that I am saving up film rolls from.. I'm trying to send a bunch in at the same time to get processed so I don't have to pay for shipping.

I took two photography classes back in high school and had a lot of fun developing and working with film. There is nothing like the anticipation of waiting to see if you put the film on the reel thing wrong and ruined half of it in developing! ha.. common thing for me.

I mostly shoot wildlife, flowers, architecture. I'd love to do more portraiture, but it's hard to find friends that enjoy being photographed-- haha. I've done some friend's and family's children and that sort of thing.

I picked up a book about my camera from Half Priced Books today. I've had my camera for over a year and I learned a bunch of stuff I didn't know it could do.

I updated my flickr a little today-- it might be worth another look!

That would be great! I shot out at Fossil Rim, but that was before I had my DSLR. A lot of my good animal shots were taken in a nice little zoo down by Nacogdoches. It was empty and they could have cared less about cameras. There was chain link fence in front of everything, but the shallow depth of field made it almost invisible.

I have yet to make it to the Ft. Worth Zoo with a camera. My zoom tops out at 250mm, so I have to be able to get fairly close to the critters. I heard there's a nature park out in Fort Worth by the lake? If you could throw a few names at me, that would be great!
